She talks us trough her experience and how did she got AIDS during her first love story ever, back when she was seventeen.
Bought incredibly strong and incredibly weak, this book teaches us how the delicate heart of a young teenager took her to the most dangerous place in the world: The arms of an irresponsible 28 years old man HIV-positive. And knowing how hard the teen-age mixed to the inability of finding or feeling the others love can be, I thought that is was only right to talk about the amazing time I had while reading this book. Also, the courage that took her to share her story, pain and fears with the entire world made me even more excited about it.
At the first contact that you have with the first pages you might think that you’re reading the diary of an ordinary 17 years old girl, however, the more you read the more you realize how different she was. Not only was she depressed ; Barbara held a heavy bolder on her shoulders, unable to feel the love of her surroundings, uncapable of saving herself, she went with the man that seemed to be so different yet, so attractive and fascinating.
I totally recommend this book that is definitely going in my top 10 books for this year.
